farmers and landowners in renewable energy projects.
We help socially disadvantaged and underrepresented farmers, ranchers, and landowners access the clean energy economy through education, opportunity, and long-term support. RAIN-UP connects landowners with renewable energy developers, helps identify viable sites, and offers guidance on land use, agrivoltaics, and income generation. We also partner with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) to build hands-on learning programs that equip students with the skills to support these efforts and lead them in the future.
We aim to remove systemic barriers and create real pathways to clean energy participation — so communities can generate new income, build generational wealth, and shape a more equitable energy future.
We believe in the power of community. Our programs are designed to engage local, socially disadvantaged and underrepresented farmers and ranchers, providing them with the resources they need to thrive in the renewable energy landscape.
Key initiatives include: Landowner Outreach, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Research Partnerships, DOE Program Readiness, and Agrivoltaics Learning
RAIN-UP is proud to be part of a groundbreaking clean energy deal with Starbucks and Workday. Through a 15-year solar agreement facilitated by LevelTen Energy, this project delivers renewable electricity to the grid and supports economic opportunities for underserved farmers and landowners.

This is what progress looks like - clean energy, stronger communities, and a more inclusive future.
We empower socially disadvantaged and underrepresented farmers, ranchers, and landowners to take part in the clean energy economy. Through education, resources, and hands-on support, we help these communities access renewable energy opportunities, building a more inclusive and resilient future.
Our team brings together educators, researchers, and advocates with deep roots in law, policy, and community organizing. We work to remove barriers and expand access, combining local insight with institutional partnerships to create lasting impact where it’s needed most.
